Children’s Author | Storyteller | Creator of The Closet Jungle
Samantha Wiley Fowler is a children’s author who creates imaginative stories inspired by family, adventure, and the magic of childhood. Her work brings warmth, curiosity, and storytelling to life for young readers and parents alike.
It is a fact, disputed by very few people with questionable taste, that great dreamers make great writers. Samantha Wiley Fowler, though she is many things, is first and foremost a dreamer. And lucky for moms bent on making readers out of their little energy balls, her dreams are wild!
That’s how The Little Closet, a story about a boy who finds a magical world in his closet, came to life. In this story, normal events become exciting adventures, teaching readers how bravery can be developed from small acts.
The book didn’t start in a quiet office with a fancy fountain pen; it was forged in the nightly “battle of the bedtimes.” Charged with the task of keeping a pair of wee and exacting critics, also known as her children, entertained until they went to sleep, Samantha had commenced telling tales to get them to bed. The problem was that the tales were so engaging that they had the opposite effect and kept her children awake and interested, “just one more chapter please!”
Realizing that she had her hands full of something much bigger than a bedtime routine, Samantha decided to trade her “amateur storyteller” badge for something much more professional. She had been dreaming of becoming something much more than a “mom with a talent for tall tales,” and today she is living that dream and ensuring that the rest of the world also stays up past their bedtime to read her tales. She hopes that through her stories young readers can develop a love for books and reading. She wants to write books which have a lasting spot on your kids’ bookshelves!
